Allow me to expand on this.
When I originally joined SCIII, it was about smack, but it was real smack. Ripping idiots who either did stupid things (rayenthal), or morons who said stupid things (Fuzzy Zoeller). And while smacking of clones did occur, it was usually deserved for saying stupid things (Josh Bigfoot). And clones could always count on others for help when it was needed (it was a great place for advice on almost any subject).

When SCIV came out, it gradually fell apart. First, tards were allowed to run free running takes that were not only stupid, but homo accusations were allowed to flow freely, even when they disrupted quality threads about subjects not even remotely relating to homosexuality. Second, the removal of mods resulted in the tards running amok with graphic porno pics (i.e. scat pics), and spamming was permitted to disrupt both thread subjects and the actual individual threads. This wasn't anything resembling what smack was about. It grew very old, and I was about to end my invovlement with SC when it went down.

Now that I'm here, I'm glad to see more of what SC used to be like. Yes, we've had some imigrants who should have gone down with the ship, but at least I've seen some of them, unlike what would have happened in SC, had mods take them on and bring the hammer down.

Would I go back to SC? I might, but I would still stay with THE since it's looking pretty well run right now. And SC would really have an uphill battle to prove that they have it under control enough to sway me to return.

But, like Van, I too felt that SC was my "home," for lack of a better word. I was hoping against hope that SC would sort out its problems and emerge stronger than ever. But alas, that is not to be, at least not in the foreseeable future.

Posters make the board. Fortunately, it seems as though most of the better posters from SC made it over here. But word travels the Internet fast, and unfortunately, I expect the racist tards to come here before too much longer.

perhaps SC just got a little overheated from the hotties and/or the meltdowns, I mean didn't it seem like the place deterioated like a system being virused with every milestone I hit? it went down for the count when I got banned by webdog himself for an over the line pic and then came back basically for a week before all the chaos broke out and eveyone started defecting to TNW and then eventually to THE.

I got in right before the demise of Caddie. Now, I would find it interesting to get as many theories as possible about just exactly why Caddie left. actually it appears that SC is just being revamped cause if you goto http://www.jimromeshow.com it is in the same format that jimrome.com was. And there is a link for smack chat. I would bet that SC or at least a form of it will be back before say Feb 1st, 2002.

If memory serves correctly, Caddie registered a troll in the real name of a mod or Webdog, and that's why he got run. Or at least that's what I heard.

I have to agree with Desi. There's a link to Smack Chat at www.jimromeshow.com. So it could be back up once they keep it down long enough to clear the tards out. On the other hand, Romey has always (and wrongly, IMHO) viewed Smack Chat as the red-headed stepchild of Smack, so this could be his excuse to keep it down for good.
